Not much information about this conversation pit created out of hundreds of small pillows stacked like sandbags in Amsterdam, but this might be one of the few times we've ever wanted to give into the urges of owning more than a couple of pillows in our household. Sure looks like a nice spot to take a nap.

Now lets all hold hands and sing "Kumbaya"...

How sturdy could a stack of pillows be? It seems like it would fall over if you leaned against one of the walls.

brookberrys: Given that they are using the "pillows" as writing desks, as well as back support, I'll bet that they are filled with something heavy and substantial, rather than down or polyfill.

awwww... this reminds me of what my younger brother and i would do as kids, when my mom wasnt home or busy we would quitely steal every pillow in the house. On the second floor there was a hallway which ran the entire length of the house, about 3/4 of the way down we would stack the pillows floor to ceiling wall to wall, almost creating a brick wall effect. Pretending to be "Men of Steel" we would run as fast as possible from one end and smash through the wall, and proceed to laugh for 10 solid minutes..... ahhh the good ol days!

I want to jump in there so bad....how fun is this thing. I like to imagine that it is totally cushy and not made of anything substantial

My inner hippie loves this, besides it's not that different from Roche Bobois sofas.
