apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Look! Point. Click. Design.

Having trouble envisioning your space or choosing a color scheme? Not sure if your furniture is going to fit? PointClickHome, the portal for Elle Decor, and a ton of other fine shelter mags, has a new room layout tool to help with planning: Point. Click. Design. Not only can you customize the size of the room you want to play with, including corners and alcoves (hello weird built-in cubby), but they have a library of furniture to add to each mocked-up room right down to houseplants and lamps. The interface is incredibly user-friendly, literally a point and click (well, and drag). No downloading special software and then finding out it only works on a pc. Just log on and you're good to go. I've already spent an hour laying out my fantasy bedroom and haven't even made it to paint colors. Happy designing!

Nothing against the post, but the name is sort of dumb and the tools found on advertisers's websites are better than what is displayed on this new site. I just don't get it, who reads home magazine anymore...I am a DWELL fan. Good luck but this venture does not look smart to me.
