Look! Recycle Center at IKEA

Taking it back. I have a quite a few IKEA brand CFL lightbulbs in my home, as well as a few of their batteries (I love their plain yellow packaging), and I just noticed that IKEA has set up a space to take them back. AT:Hometech mentioned this over the summer, but last night we had a chance to see IKEA's recycle center in person at our local Costa Mesa store.

At this particular location, it's located by the Customer Service back wall. There are several bins to recycle batteries, CFL's, and even incandescent light bulbs. All around the bins are helpful signs that provide additional educational info. As most of you already know, CFL's and batteries contain a small amount of mercury that should not be thrown out, so it's nice to see another retailer taking responsibility of their products and providing this service.
