We've had less time recently to cruise around the internet looking for cool summer arrangements, but we were jonesing for some inspiration. A little something different to capture the laissez-faire attitude we're hoping to latch onto this coming weekend. Something that says: I like plants and flowers but I didn't spend all day arranging anything and I didn't just buy a bouquet at Vons:
Not that there's anything wrong with that...we've had plenty of von's moments too. But for the summer we love spare arrangements with things we can find in the garden or deconstruct from other larger bouquets. This bit of inspiration we found on Poppytalk and it's an image from ethanollie. She describes the arramgement as: "botany, pottery and glass. all pretty. all vintage".
We love that we have lots of vessels we've collected from flea markets or have inherited from gifted bouquets that could easily satisfy this aethetic. Thanks ethanollie.

My "summer boquets" are wildflowers I cut at a nearby vacant lot.

My dad used to work for the city doing something around the time when my mom was pregnant with me and he used to collect old bottles he would find while working. My favorite is an old milk bottle that mom finally caved in and let me have and it has become my favorite vase. Super simple.
