We can now count Target as a supplier of great living wreaths along with one of our favorites, vivaterra. We bought our Christmas tree at the Target in Culver City and spied these little gems in the garden center. They're pretty and compact and, of course, alive. What we especially love is that once the season is over we can plant these in our garden, give away cuttings to our friends or just keep the wreath alive for as long as we want.

~ wow! i am in love! perfect for our climate (Australia) hot & dry! PERFECT!! ~

You guys are good. I've been eyeing the vivaterra version for weeks now, but couldn't pull the trigger on a nearly $100 plant when I still have so many gifts to buy. But now you've found it at my beloved Target, and on sale, no less! Merry early Christmas!

They have been around for years at other higher-end stores, I guess Target had just stole another idea and make it "affordable".
This is Apartment Therapy, aren't most apartments in LA indoors? My hall way deosn't see any sun at all.. lucky you.

Benja, if LA's contest entries are typical of its readers, a substantial proportion live in little cottages or duplexes. ATLA is the only regional site that gets a lot of house entries for Smallest, Coolest.
Anyway, once you're outside downtown LA, don't a lot of apartments open onto balconies or patios? That was the deal in most of northern California except San Francisco, and you guys get more consistently good weather.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I bought one from Target before I saw this post, and I can assure you it is alive and well, and sprouting.

The link in the post is not for the same item that is/was available in the garden section at Target stores.
