Look! Suitcase Chairs

atla031808_suitcasechairs.jpgThere's something a lot of fun about these padded suitcase chairs shown at Casa Korea that seem to promise adventure and travel. They remind us a lot of the Suitcase-Turn-Lamp concept placed ontop of an IKEA chair base. It looks like they painted and modified a paint box set and added cushioning...an interesting DIY inspiration.

I think they're kind of adorable. I find the proportions and colors really pleasing, although I wouldn't want them as actual seats in my home.

I like them -- the concept is clever and they look pretty good. I think they could refine the design though -- so that it's more obvious that they're actually chairs.

I really like the lamp.

It's a clever idea, but they don't look comfortable at all. They seem like a prop out of a wacky adventure movie for kids.

I don't like those at all... but just yesterday I came across these, which I adore:

Same concept, miles better execution. I don't think they're in production though.

Maybe one for display....or maybe not.

Creative - Yes.
Everything else you would want in a chair at home - No.
