Look! The Crispell Family Flea Market Decor

041808_reuse1.jpgWe've never picked up this magazine until recently, and we're pleasantly surprised: some of their house tours are amazing and relevant! This particular feature on the Crispell family home is inspiring to those of you who find the best decorating ideas at swap meets and flea markets (and Anthropologie). With their two kids in tow, this family regularly hits up the flea markets and estate sales to find treasures for their home.

After perusing through some photos of their charming and eclectic home, we noticed that a lot of their decor is all about collections: gilded dollhouse chairs, Galaxy soda bottles, wedding cake couples, handmade shrines. The method to their decorating principle: "We savor simple, clean design, using our collections to add color, pattern, and texture."

Take look at this inspiring home at Mary Engelbreit Home Companion.

Wonderful magazine...sometimes too cutesy, but right on theme wise, and such a refreshing change from the blight of MCM.

I recently bought a stack of the magazines off Ebay to take a peak. It is nice that it is a bit different from the othe decor magazines and I totally agree that their articles and photos are great for collectors.

I love Mary Englebreit's Home Companion, especially for its many features on home-based artists. Home Companion's a comfy, secret pleasure, like listening to Barry Manilow.
