Look! The Onion's 2008 Faux Gift Boxes

120408kleenstride.jpgUggh, we're having one of those days that normally fall under the category of "Mondays". The sort of day where every action is followed by a misstep and you're rushing at 110mph...backwards...all the while patting your head and rubbing your belly while whistling Dixie. So to give ourselves a bit of respite and calm us down, we detoured over to The Onion where we found ourselves chuckling over their new fake-real gifts (it's just a box to put something else into as a gift). The Kleen•Stride Personal Debris Removal seems strangely like something we'd see in certain guilty pleasure catalogs, no? One more below...

The Kleen•Stride Personal Debris Removal box is sized at 12"x9"x4" for $7.99, plenty big enough to hide something much nicer that won't result in your recipient bawling or bopping you in the groin upon initial unwrapping.

120408ifeast.jpgAnd don't forget the pets...they have a much more forgiving sense of humour about these things. The iFeast Pet Feeding MP3 Docking Station is so stupid...we're sure someone will make it.

lol. my sister has a couple of these. I love the visor fanny pack box. Last week a family friend saw her "salt of the month" club box and was genuinley excited about it. He was dissapointed when we told him it was a gag box.

chusmabilly: I assume you're American, because in the UK the "visor fanny pack" means something completely different... over there "fanny" refers to a woman's genitals, not the buttocks. I learned that the hard way when talking about trans-continental flying with some English co-workers. I said how long airplane flights give me "fanny fatigue" and they almost pissed themselves they were laughing so hard. They asked me what the hell I was doing on that flight and then they told me what "fanny" means to the Brits. I was embarrassed but laughing right along with them.

lol. yes I am american. I wonder what they called fanny packs in the 80s then? Or did they just giggle the way Americans do when someone asks for a fag instead of a cigarette?

Sonnofabich... I was like "i MIGHT consider something like that" before I realized the product was fake. Clearly mondays are contagious.
