We've blogged a lot of beautiful tiles lately, from the simple (like those in Cottage Living's Idea House) to the intricate (Susina Bakery, Intelligensia) and we've also blogged DIY headboards. But what about combining the two?...

We saw this tin ceiling tile headboard on Casa Sugar and, remembering a similar image we'd seen on Silk Felt Soil thought, why not? But, instead of limiting ourselves to tin ceiling tiles, we'd take it a step further and use some of those tiles we've been jonesing for now, instead of waiting til when we buy a home and renovate a kitchen or a bath. Grout the tiles onto a piece of wood (a door from Home Depot, sans hardware, would be the perfect foundation) and hang it on the wall behind your bed.

I love this idea. Depending on the tile, it could be pretty affordable and you could do a lot with color. And it even sounds like something I could do myself! It might be cold on your back though, so you'd have to have plenty of pillows to lean up against it.

The tile headboard idea isn't half bad - a mosaic ceramic or glass tiled headboard could be rather cool...
...but the tin-ceiling tiles pictured just aren't speaking to me.

Unlike chocolate and peanut butter, these are two things that do not go well together. At least not in these photos anyway.
