Look! White Room, Purple Chair

While checking out some photos at Taverne-Agency, we got so inspired by this one photo of a neutral living room with an effective and sophisticated pop of jewel-toned purple.

Usually when we see rooms with all the requisite designer touches (antlers! animal print rug!), it's hard to see how this would translate in our own home without getting the exact same or similar pieces. But this solution to making a colorful statement is simple: if you're a bit bored of your neutral-toned room, add one strong color accessory and call it a day.

I have a pair of Elk antlers that I have been dragging around from house to house for years, hoping for a cool way to mount them. Any idea of how to get this look?

Love the pop of purple against all that white... beautiful light in that room. I'm not fond of the antlers though, or the animal hide on the floor. What's with that? Skin rugs seem to be turning up everywhere... is this a new trend?
