We were oohing and ahhing at all the items we liked at the Domino Bazaar last week and we both gravitated toward this wood slice. Sure, we'd seen wood slice coasters before but a wood slice tray? We have ideas on how to repurpose this wood slice in your home plus other ways to bring wood decor into your space.
This is a wood slice from West Elm which retails for $29.00. You can use it as a tray to hold decorative items, a landing pad for your keys and sunglasses or place a plant on top. We also really like the look of the wood slice by itself and also thought it would be neat to have a wall full of hanging wood slices.
Pottery Barn takes their wood slices and uses them in decorative vases. You can use them to steady flowers or keep them contained as is for $14.00.

I was bucking up trees at the local cross-country ski club (non-profit) this weekend for firewood. I should turn into a fundraiser for the club. Sheesh. Wood slices for $29??? Crazy.

So many trees came down after Ike. So many logs too heavy to haul up three flights of steps. *sigh*
Well Gem you know what the solution is... DIY and charge only $15 a slice on Etsy. You might make a killing.
But I looove that bell jar.

My husband and I picked up a fallen tree and brought it inside the home...and we brought termites into the house. becareful!!
