Lovely Design Tackles the Plastic Packaging Question

lovelydesign_0992e12a42.jpgBesides being one of the most creative designers I personally know, Sharilyn of Lovely Design is also a very conscientious designer whose concerns fall well beyond just making beautiful objects. She's recently updated her packaging, addressing the use of plastic she was using previously (top-left image)...

"One of these little notions of mine is to update all of my products that use any plastics in their packaging. This requires a bit of creative problem solving but here is my updated packaging for my address file +30 card packs. I used pieces of tracing paper to wrap the stacks of cards, and designed up a sticker to fasten them shut. Its a nice way to show off some off the different patterns of the cards inside. I also used this similar solution with my paper samplers as well."

As you can see the results are beautiful and now more environmentally friendly. Way to go, Sharilyn!

Be sure to check out our past house tour of Sharilyn's Vancouver studio too. It's as beautiful and inspiring as the product she creates.
