Method Aroma Ring

atlamethod_aromaring.jpg

While running over to Target yesterday afternoon (picking up drinks for the Smallest Coolest party), I made a quick detour into the Method Home section after catching something new from the corner of my eye. The Method Aroma Ring looks somewhat like a birth control device or a Lifesaver candy, but is actually a passive home fragrance accessory (just slide in one or two cartridges and enjoy). We like the minimalist, décor-unobtrusive shape...enough so that we got one for our small home office to try out (we’re such suckers for Method products). We’ll just have to advise guests the small ring is for scent, and not to use it for protection, whether for breath or otherwise.

I use the aroma "pills" from Method, which plug into an electric outlet. My favorite scent is water. Right now I'm using eucalyptus mint. Very nice.

Greetings, everyone. I am a big fan (no pun intended) of aromatherapy, but the stuff they sell in Target (even Method) is full of really bad chemicals and has no healing value.

After doing a lot of research into this, I found out that only 2% of essential oils available in the US are what is known as 'therapeutic grade', which means that they actually have a healing effect, not just smell good. Very few actual hold up to European organic standards.

That may be important to some and not to others, but please, gang, think about what you are breathing! Indoor pollution these days is actually considered worse than outdoor!

If you want to find out more about a line of organic essential oils that make your house smell amazing, not to mention what it does for your physical and emotional body, I would be happy to chat. I also have a file on my computer to share about the various types of diffusers and which ones work the most effectively.

Maybe I got a bad batch, but when I bought the lavender lemongrass aroma pill, the resulting smell was like a gross doctor's office. Nothing like the yummy scent of their lavender lemongrass candle...I was rather disappointed.

I have the lavender lemongrass pill and love it. Not gross doctor's office at all. Grass pill in the other bathroom, love that too.
