We need a new category for products and ideas like this: astronomically priced, questionable in every regard, yet cool enough to have us wondering if we were loaded whether we'd want something so blatantly over-the-top (this tub will set you back $14,500, leaving barely anything for fish food)...
The Moody Acquario is made of tempered glass and wood with an incorporated aquarium on the outside. Ridiculous...yet ridiculously cool. Scant info on this site about how the unit works or whether the oddly angled tub is even comfortable (I guess you'll be preoccupied watching your aquatic bath buddies to even notice).

Geex - For that kind of money I can take a 2 week Caribbean cruise in a suite with a two jacuzzi tubs (one inside and one out on the private verandah)...
...and go snorkeling with the fishies in every port.

Ummm... why in the world for? With all the soap suds, you can't even see the fish.

Ok, Maxwell, you're always talking about simplicity and de-cluttering and the environment and elegance, but you're always posting vulgar, tacky, extravagant stuff like this. I wish you'd resolve the inner conflict and move on :-)

JoanneM: It wasn't Maxwell, but me who posted the vulgarity :D
And I don't believe because we daydream or recognize extravagant stuff that it detract from our own lifestyles. I never want to lie and create a facade that we can't appreciate extravagance, yet live pretty humbly, nor that I sometimes like stuff for the pure fun of the idea (and yes, sometimes like everyone else, I'm going to like things of questionable worth). The inner conflict you talk about is not a conflict, but a human trait....our aspirations or whims versus our actual lives.

I'm glad this was posted. There's just no way something this silly could be taken seriously and I got a good laugh out of it!

does the water in the tub warm the fishy water up--if so, won't they all die?

My friend lives in the loft, where the wall between living room and bathroom is huge salt water fish tank. The side which opens to the living room has gilded frame, it looks as ever moving , alive, under-the-sea picture. The other side is actually a shower wall with cascading water falling from five different surfaces and side planters with exotic tall plants. He designed and made it himself. it's the coolest shower i ever seen.

How can you be afraid of fish?
Fish are cute
Fish are beaut
Fish are soft and curly...
Oh hang on. That's sheep.

I actually think this is very cool and don't see what's so ridiculous about it. Obviously the price is absurd but it's more about the idea. An aquarium...in the bathroom...alongside the tub...why not?
I found the $5,000 table lamp from earlier today to be a MUCH more ridiculous post than this.

Fish tub - a one act play
fish #1 - What the hell is that?!?
fish #2 - It's a sea monster!
fish #3 - It's a sea monster from a very unflattering angle!
Fish cower, curtain closes.

The changing water temperature would kill off the fish!
view arza's profile
that would probably be a very bad idea. where is the filter in there? how are you going to keep the soap out? and like someone else said, the change in temperature would be a really bad thing.
i hate when people make things like this just for the looks and really don't give a crap about how to take care of aquariums!.

There was a film in the 1970s, an arty French film directed by Barbet Schroeder, starring Bulle Ogier and a young G. Depardieu, titled MAITRESSE. Ogier was a dominatrix whose bathtub was insane - the walls were fishtanks filled with goldfish and black snakes. It was one of the most bizarre and intense things I've seen.
