Ooh la la! A French Flat, Styled by Sasa Antic

061009_sasa1.jpgHappy Hump Day, how's your week been? Ours has been filled with work stress and crummy weather, so we're feeling the need to indulge in some eye candy (and perhaps, real candy of the chocolate variety as well). Anyway, we stumbled upon the gorgeous work of interior stylist Sasa Antic, thanks to Emma over at EmmasDesignBlogg, and found this bee-yoo-ti-ful French flat. It is, as Laure would say, a definite contender for "the French fantasy life." Take a break from the doldrums and peek into this dreamy home...

OMG beautiful! Love those stain glass doors, cries. If I had to pick a style to live in and be forever happy with this would be it.

Hah. Very lovely interiors... but the baguette photo reminds me of a few Salvador Dali paintings of random baguettes.
I am jealous that almost everything is covered in trim and moulding.

Does anyone know where that popular white light comes from in the fourth picture?

Are those real flowers on top on the fire place mantel? If so, what kind are they? They're beautiful.

Shlacking: I don't know their official name, but I think they are commonly marketed as shamrocks around St. Patrick's Day.

Marvelous place.

The 'flowers' are a plant called the Purple Shamrock (Oxalis Triangularis). You see them sold in grocery stores and florist shops around St. Patrick's Day. I have one and the leaves are a beautiful dark wine color. They'll also send forth pale lavender-colored trumpet-shaped flowers. It's pretty easy to care for them, as long as they get enough sunlight.

I love every picture in this post. It has everything I dream about: crown molding, French doors, hardwood floors, the mirrored fireplace mantle, old radiator (with oven?!), white paneled ceilings and doors and walls, the list goes on and on ...

It probably is the expensive le Klint lamp that LoriSF gave the link too. I got a cheap knock-off of of Ebay though... for about one tenth of the price. That was in europe though but u might try on american ebay... there were many of them on ebay when i bought mine...

Uhm, though I am more wee studio / fifth floor walk-up in The Marais kind of dreamer ... but daaaayyyyum.

It's those doors, the stained glass- the adorable place to burn things- and the light! My God, what light that place gets. I now join the rest and cry and dream.

(pssst: Anyone in Paris, please feel free to adopt this sad American orphan! My job, I can do it from anywhere in the world! I would buy you treats every day!)

i am moving soon into a place with dark wood floors and a wee bit of millwork, and this is tempting me to paint everything white white white. this is so lovely...le sigh.
