Our friends over at our nearby IKEA in Burbank sent us this heads up: IKEA and SXM is co-producing a new series called "Easy to Assemble", a new scripted Web series written and directed by and starring Illeana Douglas. The show follows Douglas in a new career path with appearances from the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Robert Patrick, Tom Arnold, Jane Lynch, Ed Begley Jr. and Justine Bateman (sha-la-la-la~) as she plays herself working at the Burbank IKEA. Boy, that Hollywood strike is worse than we thought! And we wonder if any of them will be in attendance at the big IKEA wedding tomorrow? Check out more details and photos here.

So that was what Illeana Douglas was doing there! I was at the Burbank Ikea last weekend and saw her stride across the kid's area and into an area of the store that was partitioned off.

She was on Chelsea Handler's show about two months ago talking about it -- she did this as a pilot set in another store, which didn't get picked up, but IKEA loved the idea and ran with it. Given how ultra-cool Ileana is, it should be great!
