In an effort to drum up even more publicity of the revamped Melrose Place, the CW released this faux-ad of a greasy real estate agent pimping out an available apartment for the fictitious 4616 Melrose Place. Want to see how they've interpreted a "glam Young Hollywood pad"? Check out the video after the jump...
...but be warned: Apparently, they took cues from MTV Cribs, so it's got those spastic zooms.
On a personal note, I tried to get Beth to play the Melrose Place drinking game with me for the pilot episode, but she (wisely) demurred. I'm going to have to arm myself with some aspirin if we ever decide to do an On the Set feature for this show...
Nothing overly impressive. The pilot episode wasn't overly impressive either.

Oh Deputy Leo, we can move in to one of those apartments together. (Please find a better job.)

What's the MP drinking game? I'd usually be so drunk from drinking every time Brenda was a b*tch or Dylan was filled with angst or Kelly had an eating disorder on 90210 beforehand that we never got around to drinking after MP. Although I remember you could hear screams from every apartment in my building two weeks in a row:
1) Kimberly appears on the beach
2) Kimberly removes her wig and you see that big scar!

Becky, our MP drinking game is really, really easy.
1) Drink every time Ashlee Simpson looks pained/confused/constipated/surprised (Sadly, only about 3-4 drinks. Not because she wasn't exhibiting all of the qualities, but because she was rarely on screen during the pilot).
2) A shot of tequila every time a Hollywood spot is dropped; i.e. "Guess who I saw stumbling out of Katsuya!" (Again, only 2-3 shots. We did count the Beverly Hills police station as one though).
3) Chug for the entire duration of a flashback. (Now THIS is why we were on the floor towards the latter half of the episode.)
We also had a one for One Tree Hill (drink every time Chad Michael Murry squints intensely during a close up), but then we realized how awesomely ridiculous the show was even without alcohol. I think that epiphany happened after the episode where the evil dad's transplant heart gets EATEN BY A DOG. No, really. (And yes, he does squint during the close up--end scene! Drink!).

I liked it! It's as ridiculous as the original. And I think Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is adorable, so.
