apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Thank You!

We'd like to thank everyone who came out Thursday night to Design Within Reach in Beverly Hills to help us announce the winners of this year's Smallest Coolest Apartment Contest. We had a good time meeting all the entrants who came from near and far (Eric, thanks for coming all the way from Barstow to attend!), and also meeting some of our readers. Richele and I admit a little shyness during our first official ATLA event (that's why we're bloggers and not public speakers), but we genuinely ended up having a fantastic evening with you all.

Special thanks to Greg Baugh of Design Within Reach, Enrique for his support throughout the evening, Emily for taking photos while we were attending to our duties, and most importantly thanks to finalists Eric, Ammo, Laure and Laura for entering such inspiring interiors in this year's contest. More photos from the event here.

Look at how cute the finalists all looked. And the crowd, in general. If there were an AT "Hot or not" survey on the attendees, I'd vote "Smokin' Hot". It was great meeting everyone!

I'm sorry, but I think Laure was robbed! Robbed I tell you! Should have been in the top 4.

I left the evening wishing I was wealthy enough to award each one of our finalists notable prizes, such was their positive and friendly personalities, in combination with their dashing sense of decor. Really, nobody was robbed...it was just a great selection of finalists that made for a tough, tough decision. Bravo to the whole lot of 'em!

Thank you AT, Gregory, Enrique, Emily, and DWR for such a wonderful evening!!! I had such a wonderful time and I'm sure Eric will be posting later that he did as well. I was as suprised with him being able to make it as you are. :) I would like to say a big CONGRATS to LONDON, LAURA, VICTOR & SOEUN, AND RON for placing 1st -4th. I dont really see it as any body being robbed either. At the end of the day all of the entries get to come home to an amazing place. Doesn't that make EVERYONE a WINNER!?
Thanks again!!!

It was so lovely seeing everyone last night! It was such a treat for Gregory and I to see all of your faces. Sometimes [at least I feel like this] I wonder who reads our site as most often our Los Angeles readers are all so shy to comment :)

Congrats to all the winners and participants. Without all of you our contest would not exsist. A big thanks to DWR for hosting and sponsoring us as well.

We look forward to having another get-together soon.

I just want to say thanks for everyone at the party making it worth it to drive all the way from Barstow. What and awesome community we have with ATLA. I can't wait to see more events from them. Congratulations to all the Los Angeles entries in the competition, I think we proved that NY isn't the only design mecca and that amateurs can hold their own with professionals. I truly was inspired by this competition and can't wait until next year when I can be merely a spectator.

Where's a photo of Enrique? (have always enjoyed his thoughtful comments and style sense)

Glad you all @ AT:LA had a wonderful time. I used to live in So. Cal and wish I could've been there.

Congrats to all the entrants and winners!
