The Grammys are this Sunday, and we're going! We'll be in the background, so if you happen to see a group of non-famous people not wearing latex or spandex or 30 yards of faux fur, that could be us! We'll try to linger behind Ryan Seacrest as long as possible--it's our best bet of staying on camera for more than 3 seconds. So, how do we do prepare for such an esteemed event? Check out how and more photos from Interior Design below the jump!
We're going to kick off the highly endorsed (by young rehabbing starlets) 24-Hr Red Carpet Detox today! Meaning: we're going to crash diet, squeeze in a few Pilates sessions, max out our credit cards at Fred Segal...and showcase some homes of past Grammy winners! First up: Kanye West. We blogged about his home back in September, but for the sake of his eight nods, let's take another look...

The Jetsons in the den! First photo is of Mr. West's office--we find ourselves hypnotized by his collection of Murakami flower pillows...

A big ol' Hermes bag sculpture in the foyer (and a stack of vintage Louis Vuitton trunks), and a bathtub with its own aquarium.

A pristine kitchen with a backlit Barnett Newman...and the dining room with an interesting mural painted on the ceiling...Is that a self-portrait?

Living Room with a very red, very large Murakami

Entryway, and a collection of Warhol soup can prints.

Does anyone know of a place to buy Large* art (like in the first photograph) inexpensively? I have every renter's problem of perpetually beige walls and no permission to paint... I'm looking to add color and interest without peppering my small apartment with too much stuff.

rmx: either on the LACMA web site, or unicahome.com.
the LARGE pillows are EXTREMELY expensive. the smallest are about $72 each.
they're super cute.

eml35 - back in college when I was living in a dorm room, I went to a teacher supply store and got a large piece of buter roll paper. I also picked up 3 tones of brown spray paint. A few minutes later, I had a neat custom peice of large art for only a few bucks. You could easily due the same on a large canvas.

Have fun at the Grammy's, Grace! I'm there now, working at "web central" (I guess that's what they're calling it this year), and, so far, it seems much better organized than last year... so far. :)

HAHA! No, I didn't see that, Grace. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll have to pass it around now. :)
