its a little too much for me- but i could do it. i think i would leave out the 80s art photo and the satin comforter. but i love the splash of yellow!

Anybody know what paint color (s) she uses? My little sister loves the pink in her retail stores and wants it in her room! I remember reading it in an old design mag but I forget which one!

Haven't I seen Betsey Johnson in interviews on TV or something? And wasn't she rather delightful? Seems like that's what I remember, and I think this looks like just the kind of place where she'd live a fun life. I think it looks great.

I have the magazine, and the pink is nicer than what it looks like online -- definitely not pepto-bismol! It is actually a very fun pink, and I for one, love the pink satin quilt on her bed, and the pink womb chair... (and love what she has done to a Maly bed).

Yup, that's Betsey Johnson herself above the bed, not an 80's art photo. Well, not a RANDOM 80's art photo!

And Curtis, yes, she is all ABOUT being fun, she's in her late 50's (or maybe 60's?) now, and she still does her signature cartwheel down the end of the runway after her shows. She's done this for EVERY runway show she's had! Oh and she still has crazy coloured random hair extensions.

Ok actually I'm a bit surprised her apartment not more over the top than it is. Got to love her for going full force with what she loves!

I love Betsey and have passed my "vintage" Betsey dresses on to daughters who look better in them. We always step into the BJ store to revel in Betsey when we visit the city.

IdRatherBeDesigning: I'm not sure if this is the colour Betsey actually used in her apartment, but I just read on Casapinka (http://casapinka.typepad.com/casapinka/2008/03/betsey-johnson.html) that she recommends a pink called Springtime Bloom by Benjamin Moore, and it looks pretty similar!

Pink IS Betsey Johnston.. It is so HER, I love it!!!!! No one else could ever pull this off!

Thanks for running this, I L-O-V-E Betsey Johnson, she is the ultimate pink woman. Most of my dresses that I own of her I had to sell (too small) or save for my teenage daughter, but I still have the jewelry. She's awesome.

She's actually selling this loft for like 3 million (if it hasn't sold yet).

In response to Modfan, the sewage pipe is an add on. She had a bedroom/bathroom thing added on upstairs all encased in glass, kind of scary, I wouldn't want to sleep up there (too windy). Saw it a few years ago on one of those Style network shows about celebrity/designer homes.
