Tissue Boxes Have Never Looked So...Yummy?

We've posted about customizing your tissue boxes, pre-designed decor friendly offerings, hiding the box with a case, or ridding the tissue box altogether. But as a colour lover, we think this may be our favourite of them all...

Los Angeles illustrator Hiroko Sanders is known for his mouth watering illustrations of luscious fruits, and was hired by Kleenex to design the “Perfect Slice of Summer” tissue box series. Summer has quickly faded, but we still love these juicy looking designs for their decor-friendly, smile inducing packaging.

As someone who lives with an allergy sufferer, but who also has a habit of hiding tissue boxes away, something so well designed is a sight for sore eyes. And with these designs we'd be sure we'd be more apt to remember to eat more fruit daily!

My favorite stock tissue box (although I only use them in our game room bath) is the Trader Joe's tissues. I saw it one day and literally LoLed! Dunno why, but I think it's quite adorable (husband thinks I'm crazy).

Here's someone else who posted a photo of it:

The sides say...
"I'm there when you're sad"
"I'm there when you run out of toilet paper"
"I'm there when you need to pick up icky things"
and "I'm there when you're sick"

My favorite tissue "dispenser" is a simple box-free design sold at Chiasso. I don't know why most of the tissue boxes are cheesy pastel floral designs. Once in a while, there's a cool, more contemporary option, but they don't last long.

Love anything but the ugly tissue box. I make great covers for them. www.shandells.com

i only saw the watermelon one this summer, i think.

I wish they sold tissue box refills, instead of packing my supply closet with those damn boxes. I have this pretty nice looking metal grey cover, but it's heavy and really useless when you're sick and carrying the box of tissues around with you.

I am amazed with those who use hankies because they way my nose gets when i get sick - it's disgusting. There's no way I could use hankies because i go through a full box of tissue when i have a cold, and I use every piece to it's freaking maximum.

I'm just not offended enough by standard tissue boxes to want to pull my tissues out of a slice of watermelon. This is about two steps away from a crocheted toilet paper doll.

The Trader Joe's box is cute!
