Yet another reason we love Etsy. Where else could someone create a "Wiener Bench", composed of 369 appendages created from the yarn of wool sweaters donated from folks who answered the request on craigslist.org, with stuffing from an old couch, and all applied to a "Lack" Ikea table found in the trash...and then have it sell for $1,500?

Whoever this is, they're either ripping off or heavily inspired by the work of the artist Yayoi Kusama! I've linked to a web page that includes her with one of her "wiener sofas" and a "weiner chair" - she has done many, many pieces and installations similar to this, especially in the 70s.

As a designer myself, I know it's not uncommon to come up with a similar idea(s) to an existing design solution independent from influence or exposure, so I wouldn't necessarily assume they stole the idea. But I'm glad you were able to link Kusama's work. It just illustrates how difficult it can be to create original works these days...
