I have too many favorite LA buildings to pick just one... The architecture here is most of my reason for loving it! I'll go with the Schindler House on King's Road. It's representative of the kind of creativity that spawned so much more.

Don't pick me because I immediately bought this book after you posted it.

My favorite house is the Case Study house right next to the Eames residence. I met the gentleman that grew up in it and he told me wonderful stories about the house, Charles & Ray, and Neutra. Plus he told me his life highlights and gave me some advice to "not be afraid to take chances or make changes."

well, you know, case study houses are just great. such fine designers as eames and schindler and neutra are aces in my book. and the Bradbury? i love that building for "demon with a glass hand"!

but the one that i would pick is lautner's Chemosphere, now owned by one of your brother publishers, benedikt taschen.

but in a way, it goes against everything represented by living in a loft! ;)

have a fine day.
