The March 07 issue of House&Garden featured an article on a new store in Tarzana, called Architectural Coatings + Design Center.
Owner Rizal Coleman opened the store last November to make environmentally responsible products more available and understandable. Rizal explains that "VOC-free" doesn't necessarily mean healthy. He says "the compounds the government regulates are for smog control, not for personal health...The paints and plasters I carry are designed to be nontoxic- not to fit into some loophole." There's a great slideshow on the H&G website that takes a tour of AC +DC. Has anyone been to this store yet? Would love to hear your feedback.
