Leave it to those darned Dutch for finding a way to build a Spacebox to paradise. De Vijf Architects have created these stackable, lightweight studios that come complete with kitchens and bathrooms.
The large front window assures you wont get too claustrophobic and the interior design possibilities look endless. At around 200 square feet, these high-grade composite units are easily assembled and dis-assembled, so you can take your home with you and stack it somewhere else. Now if we could just find a way to get the city to let us stack these by the beach!

I have two beach locations that it would be possible. First Nations (aboriginal people) in Vancouver have two ideal locations in the Vancouver area in BC ... waterfront in West Vancouver currently occupied by a trailer park and beach front in Tsawassen right on the US border south of Vancouver. The advantage is that you don't need to deal with city governments unwilling to consider radical changes to zoning etc... to accomodate innovative housing alternatives.
