Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: I am in love with this yard, especially the tree which is just beginning to bloom its beautiful pink blossoms. It's spacious and airy, and the tree provides the perfect amount of shade when the sun is overhead. On the other side of the fence, there is a grove of orange and avacado tree. HUGE avocados are always dropping on our side so we clean them up, wait for them to get ripe and then enjoy them with a little salt. Its also a great place host backyard cocktail parties and afternoon lunches.
How did you create it? Since my parents are renting this space, they were skeptical about investing in outdoor furniture and decor. I've finally convinced them that i would be worth it, since it would allow them to enjoy their home so much more. So far, they've only made a few small purchases - like the wicker furniture set from Pier 1. But, future plans for the yard include a bird bath, more potted plants, garden stakes and maybe a small fountain.
Recommended store, site, product or resource? Pier 1 has great seasonal furniture as does Ikea. Other places like the World Market, Loews and The Home Depot are great for yard decor and plants.

Love it. But I agree that placing the statues elsewhere and adding some flowers to spruce it up even more would make it even better. I love the airy feel. Very fresh and very clean.
