Nature + Home Decor

010709_plants01.jpgIt's easy to get caught up in buying home decor and accents for your space. A few dollars here and a few more dollars there can add up though and even make your space feel a bit cluttered. Just a reminder that...

...plants and fruit make fabulous accents. Affordable + colorful + functional (use a lime when you need it or break off some aloe for a scrape) to create a comfy vibe in your home.

I've been so much happier since bringing in 2 vases (i have one of the ones pictured here!) and 2 plants from IKEA. Only spent about $12 total, too.

Go grab some Adler pottery-- he has a ton of stuff on clearance. It's actually affordable now!

Very true! we put out clementines in a shiny blue lacquer bowl for the holidays. It rounded out the room perfectly and was the perfect compliment to the holiday tree.

An orchid in an unexpected bowl that I had stored away gives a new focal point in my living room right now and the beautiful nearly perfect Cypress branch I found gives a bit of a organic feel to my very white window landing.

What you're saying is good, and I'm glad for the reminder, but couldn't this post have a little more meat to it? It felt awfully short (and rather obvious).

Mrs. Mack--c'mon. Would you have realized that you can actually eat lemons and limes without this reminder?
