Our good pal Barbara Bester is in Domino Magazine this month in a feature story called, "Material Girl." Barbara, an architect based in Silver Lake, took a little, less than impressive Echo Park house and transformed it into a stunning yet simple abode which she shares with her two tots, Beatrice and Charlotte.

We think Barbara has impeccable style with a strong nod to Schindler and an ability to incorporate industrial materials and low-end furnishings (read: Ikea) into a space that ends up simple and stunning. Although an east coast gal, Barbara has created a true Cali style that is as hip as she is.
