

Winners will be selected for their garden's beauty, use of low-water plants, irrigation efficiency, organic uses and water conservation. Nearly $5000 in cash prizes will be awarded. It's easy to enter. Just take three pictures of your front yard and fill out a brief online form. You can see some of the current entries here. They also have a great "inspiration" page. love. love. love. succulents. Wende in Phoenix and I went plant shopping one afternoon, and the succulents were just eyepoppingly beautiful.

it's a bit of a schlep, but the green arrow nursery in northridge has a GREAT selection of succulents (in the small 2" pots especially) at fantastic prices. I always like to buy my succulents small because I know that they will grow quickly and then I can break off pieces to start more. Anyone want to start a succulent swap?
