An article in Monday's OC Register featured architect, Dan Heinfeld's Newport Beach "green dream home." Heinfeld is the president of Irvine-based LPA Inc, which is a firm that has been praised for it's green architecture. His gorgeous home puts into practice a lot of what he uses for his commercial developments. He was able to build the modern home from the ground up, after one of the homes in the neighborhood got flooded and had to be demolished after mold had developed. Heinfeld says that the first rule of green building is to "pay attention to what the site offers for free."

Love everything- the roof beams, the bridge, the light, the dog. I like the natural incorporated with the modern. My senses are screaming to visit this house. Beautiful!!
