As much in 21 square feet as a 4 star hotel. This is the claim of Yotel, a UK chain specializing in being the Jet Blue of hotel rooms or 'napping pods' convenienty located inside airports. We slinked it last month but in honor of escapes we thought it deserved another look.
For instance, you may only have 20 feet to move around in, but you have free internet, memory foam mattress, flatscreen with tons of movies available for free, mood lighting, and (most important) privacy.
So if you have a 12 hour layover at the Gatwick airport, get a room, relax, take a shower, check your email, whatever. No longer planted all over the seats at Gate C19 you're free to make use of the time at the airport. The idea is that it's kind of like a private train compartment mixed with an airplane cabin. And minimal space means you only pay a little too. Cabins start at (the equivalent of) $75/night for a single and no room is more than $300/night.

I would love to see something like this at every airport, especially if it included something as basic as a small area with a locker and a simple couch/bed. I'd much rather catch an hour of sleep than sit in plastic chairs waiting for my plane.

Oh, how I could have used that when I had an overnight layover in Gatwick ten years ago. Though I was a college student then, and therefore had no trouble sleeping for seven hours on the waiting area benches, using my backpack as a pillow.
