Nice cover story in the usually dull LA Times Sunday Magazine about how Green is finally chic enough to get people to jump on board. The article suggests that the green phenomenon "pretty much has been kidnapped from hard-core environmentalists, spruced up and given a new suit by corporate America." Hard to say if that is a good thing or if that just means new ways to lie about what is green in order to make a buck.
While we always try to post from the world of green (with the help of super eco-blogs like Treehugger) we have been wary to get behind certain things that sound good on paper, but might not be able to walk the walk when it comes to usability (like bamboo flooring, where the jury is still out as to whether the smart wood is able to take the abuse of shoes and heels).
