We're well underway in our second week of Bathroom Month! The entire month we'll be bloggin the best of that room most of start and end our days in. We'd love to see what you have done with your bathrooms! Send us your pics via email or by tagging your flickr pics with "apartmenttherapyla". From our last poll, the majority of us are shower people, so we'd like to know, do you use a shower curtain, or do you have an enclosed shower with a glass door?

My apartment now has ugly glass shower doors, the first I've ever had to live with. I can't paint in my bathroom so its difficult to inject any color, besides towels and a bathmat. Does anyone know of any undoable things I can apply to the shower doors that will give them a punch of color and stand up to the humidity? I've looked at Blik graphics but haven't found anything I'm crazy about. I'm also not so interested in hanging a shower curtian.
i concur wholeheartedly, i HATE the glass shower door in my apartment.
To half answer my own question, you can apparently use acrylic paint on glass, which can later be scraped off (sounds fun!). Maybe stenciling something can be an option.
kyd22: Aren't they the worst? Mine are poorly installed and old too. And they're always gross no matter how much I clean them. Too many nooks and crannies and seems.
I refuse to shower with a glass shower door ever since one broke on me while I was taking a shower. I was in high school, and had just watched a horror movie on TV, plus I was home alone. The thing broke mid-shower, and I ran out looking like Carrie at her prom. Traumatic, to say the least. At least it broke into little bits instead of a big artery-slicing shard. So no, no glass doors for me--besides, shower curtains are much cuter.
I agree, Jessica - no amount of scrubbing with darn near every thing I've been able to lay my hands on will get those darn doors clean - not to mention the tracks, the metal around the doors and the top (which always seems to accumulate bars of soap and shampoo bottles). I gave up and hid mine behind a shower curtain since I'm in a rental and replacing them isn't an expense I'm willing to go to.
I'm hoping for some suggestions on coordinating color; my preferences are for browns and greens, but my son and his girlfriend are 'staying' with me for a while (read that they've moved back in for an undetermined amount of time!) and they want to try black and hot pink. Is there hope for blending this so we're all happy without it looking like a circus??
