Martha Stewart Collection at Macys

Last year it was announced that Martha Stewart would be designing an exclusive "Collection" brand for Macys. A preview was featured in the latest House&Garden magazine, and it was said that it would launch in September. Last night, however, I noticed it's already trickling into stores! The first thing I saw was the bathroom offerings...

I absolutely loved the faux bois collection. Four subtle and sophisticated colorways, including a kiwi/taupe, cream/taupe, taupe/brown, and a light yellow/cream combo. There was also a nice ceramic collection of bath accessories that also had a subtle woodgrain pattern. Some of the bedding was really nice as well, (some seemed a little too..."grandmotherly" and not really my personal taste, but I admit it definitely was pretty.)

The prices are higher than what she has at K-mart, but not too outrageous and also of much nicer quality. I didn't get a chance to see the kitchen collection pieces, but many of the pieces are up on the Macy's site right now. Definitely worth a look-see next time you're at a Macys! Have any of you purchased any of the new collection? What's your review?

I only went for her kitchen stuff at the moment and like the turqoise and the bright red, the green, eh.

They show the cast iron pot in the blue in a photo, but do not have it listed. I do like some of her kitchen items though.

On a related subject, Le Crousette(sp?) now has the turquoise in their line, but in the sunburst patern, meaning the edges of the pieces are of a darker shade and not of the solid single shade of yore. I believe this is a variant on an old color they once sold years and years ago.
