Martha Stewart's New Show on TLC

martha.jpgWe never imagined that we would be devoting this much time to Martha Stewart but we watched more of her new show on TLC, and wanted to let you know that it stinks. We know it's early and maybe Martha needs to get reacquainted to life out of the brink, but the show is like a parody of itself.

In the episode Ms. Stewart is throwing her mean spirited Mom a 92nd birthday. The carrot cake looks like it was off the "day-old" shelf, the floral arrangements look played out (They are pretty, but we are sure her magazine has shown the same display for the past ten years), and Martha, (looking more and more like Dianne Sawyer) seems like she knows that she has used up all of her high end D.I.Y. attitude.

Maybe her reality show will shed some light. Is there such a thing as a good thing anymore?

*cringe* I caught the w/rapping with Diddy episode. I thought she's looking more like Candace Bergen this year! =)

Gee, I thought I was the only one who thought that. I think the show is getting good reviews but I think the show is lame, forced, and boring.

Yes, the Diddy episode was unbearable. The show feels too much like Oprah with all of those commercials. And it's too watered down.

When she opened the show with the lame rap, I thought I had Comedy Central on. She has become a parody of herself.

Phew! I thought it was just me, having never watched Martha's original TV incarnation. I watched the one with David Spade, the one with P.Diddy, and the one with Martha Sr., and I found it pretty surreal. I think David Spade and P.Diddy were finding it all pretty surreal, too. (They made w"rap"ping paper, geddit? Gah.) It was uncomfortable just to watch.

I enjoy the show most of the time - I think her guests try to out-speak her constantly. This is Martha we are talking about - she certainly does not need instructions on how to make ANY recipe. Speaking of recipies, I would love to have the ones from the show - can someone please tell me where to find them on the net? The TLC website devoted to the Martha show just stinks.

This is the first time I have watched the NEW and improved Martha show!I am use to the older format and stayed glued to the screen.I am looking forward to the show with Melissa Etheride.I find the new show much more user friendly. The eye contact and smiles are great!I feel comfortable and drawn in to watch. The interaction with audience and other bakers is also a draw.Great keep up the work-kudos and applause Love it!

I enjoy the show at 6pm on TLC in Michigan. I plan my evening around it. I think Martha is learning much about herself and how to interact with others in a show thats live. Not something that I think might be easy for her. In the process I'm learnig good things from her.
I'll be sad if the show dosent make it. I really do enjoy her and her guests. Hey the guests are as good or better than the Regis and Kelly show,,,cant stand watching the kelly thing,,at least Martha has a form of intelect about her.

I own every single publication Martha has sold. I have watched every show she has ever been on and am still a devoted fan BUT everyone seems to be right. This new Martha show on TV is so lame and forced that it is actually embarassing to watch. I tape it now so I can get through the especially painful parts. Watch closely and you will see how many mistakes she makes daily. Maybe if she had more than 5 hours sleep a night she wouldn't call Trisha Yearwood, Trisha Underwood! Today she called Cheese Strata a drink but from the Bloody Mary's etc being slurped it would seem understandable. She comes across so much less dignified than the old format with editing. I still will watch EVERY single day but sometimes with my hand over my eyes.
