We're almost through November and what a month it's been! With last week's Fall Colors Contest wrap up, we just wanted to thank everyone again for participating and sharing with us their homes and for all the fun inspirational color ideas. The colors are changing around us, not only outside, but internally here at AT as we are gearing up for the big site re-launch (read more here) as well as for Thanksgiving. Do you decorate or do anything special to the house for Thanksgiving?

Pumpkins, gourds & candles on the mantle, pressed leaves sprinkled on the table. Oh, and one traced-hand turkey picture complete with glued on feathers and a glittered Pilgrim hat.

Usually I'm at my sister's w/ the rest of the family so don't have to worry about that but Christmas? That I do decorate for and I hope to find time to get the stuff and make my own tree skirt this year. Something quite retro/vintage looking in both design and in color. :-)

Other (please explain in the comments)
I don't decorate for any holiday or season. I live alone, my friends all live thousands of miles away (across a border or an ocean), and I have no relatives any more. I sew and embroider and make jewelry, so I have no other need to add clutter for a calendar date. Buying flowers or greenery on a whim is enough change for me.

I don't decorate at home but I do in the lobby of our residential hotel. I dont go overboard, a few pumpkins, a couple of scarecrows and a turkey made out of something, maybe cattail stems!! We have a gorilla head who is always dressing up for the holidays. For Thanksgiving he wears a turkey head-dress.
