If you're going to be down south towards San Diego anytime soon, we recommend taking a quick little detour through La Jolla to view the latest work of Ryan McGinness. The Quint Contemporary Art Gallery is showing several pieces in a show that launched this past weekend, and will continue through May 19th. McGinness has become well known for his "amalgam of icons and symbols." His work "incorporates strong social commentary on iconography, language, and historical and contemporary symbolisim."
