The Shining Tonight at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Happy Halloween Everyone! We love scary movies and The Shining might be one of our absolute faves. What with the fabulous decor of the Overlook Hotel (based on Yosemite's own Ahwahnee hotel) and the creepiness of Redrum. Get your fill of scary and stylish tonight at a screening of The Shining at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (film starts at 7, doors open at 5:30).

If you can find a copy, be sure to get the Kubrick issue of Lemon that's been on the newstands.

They use a ton of the Shining's Interior Design references throughout the issue. The whole mag is a keeper--they even reference Kirby's 2001 Space Oddysey comics.

Plus, a lot of the contributors are LA-based artists. (I met several of them at the Murakami Opening event).

The Overlook hotel's crazy rug pattern, seen in the above photos, graces the issue's backgrounds.

Meltendo!
Thanks for the heads up--we 're looking for a copy now! We missed the Murakami opening--did we miss anything big?

...and that didn't take long at all.

Anyone who HAS to have that issue can order directly from Lemon's website.
