'09 Calendars From Sampson May

091508_calnder.jpgWe might be alone in this, but we have the feeling that the year is absolutely flying by. So we were stunned to get an email about '09 Calendars. Then we saw the calendars and we got really excited:

We wrote about the '08 Version of this Calendar last year along with our love for things simple, modern, and graphically bold. Get these 09 calendars before they sell out through Just Gone Six.

I think they're cool from a graphic design point-of-view...but the functionality comes into question when you ask what a person expects out of their calendar. Do they simply use it to keep track of the current date? Or do they need space to jot reminder times under each date? Most people tend to use them for the latter.

They do catch the eye, though.

I assume these are supplemental, decorative calendars. I do think they're cool, but I'd have to have a functional one (or three) as well.

i saw these on a different blog yesterday.

great calendars. would love to own one, but at roughly $116 for one, crazy pricey.

and for me it would be to keep track of just the date, i have other things to jot reminders on, like iCal.

Just Gone Six intends for them to be framed.

I'm with Kimber on this one, and say, as nice as they look, they don't appear to be very functional. But, I am a calendar junky, so I'd love to see more calendars as the new year draws near.

65 pounds? you HAVE to be kidding.

i love bold sans-serif, helvetica primarily, but no WAY would i ever spend more than $30 on something like that.

An hour of Illustrator and $20 for a Kinkos print and you could have this same poster, even in colors to match your decor.

loved them... until i saw the price. for something so "dated" it's just too expensive.
