As you can see, the two work areas are quite different. Her husband is a CPA and Courtney designs jewelry from home. Both spaces make use of a sleek, multi-drawer cabinet that keeps office supplies organized. We love how both desktops are clear of distractions with back-up office supplies and other items kept in a hutch in between the two workspaces. While Courtney's spouse needs little in the way of tools for his job, she has quite a bit to store and keep organized. To accomplish this, Courtney puts a peg board to work (love) and shelving with baskets so her area is kept neat.

What a beautiful workspace!
Where is the little flat file from? Something like that would make my workspace (ie. entire apartment) so much more organized.

beautiful space, where are the window shades from?

The sideboard is from the now discontinued Magiker line. They still come up on CL on rare occasions.
Actually the large cube bookcase is also from the magiker line. I have lots of these pieces and the items from the magiker line have been by far my favorite.
On a side note there is a sideboard on CL right now in LA: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/fuo/1236251236.html

Hi, I'm Courtney! I feel a little silly commenting on my own photos but I wanted to answer the questions about products. The shades are from Target. I think we purchased them about 3 years ago so they don't have the exact ones anymore but I have seen similar. Peter's desk is also from Ikea. It's one of the customizable Vika sets that let you choose from a number of legs/tops. We (unknowingly) picked legs that do *not* go with the table and were too wide. Instead of returning them I drilled them in at an angle which I think ended up making it look more interesting.
Thank you for the compliments :)

This room is exactly what I am going to do with my front room. I love the desk with the unintended legs - it is perfect :)
Does anyone have an idea about the bookshelf and where it is from..?

Thanks :)
Every piece of furniture in the room (including chairs) is Ikea.

Love this office! Where did you find an organized husband?

What an amazing, civilized work space. I work from home...unfortunately, sharing a large room w/my husband (who does not work at home). It's like the Odd Couple, only much worse. His desks (2) contain items that the best "Let's Make a Deal" contestant would envy...even the keyboards have stuff on them.

I'm the messy one :) My husbands organizational skills put me to shame. He's a CPA after all..
