apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Carolyn's Office Redo

Carolyn's office redo began by drawing inspiration from her framed map (which now hangs in the office). Using the map's mint green color palette and retro style, Carolyn went to work on her office makeover.

A great mix of feminine and masculine style, Carolyn's new office is lust-worthy. An Eames executive work chair, a two-toned mid century modern bench and vintage stereo cabinet give the office a Mad Men vibe. Carolyn mixes it up by using playful bird curtains and eclectic thrift store finds. Her favorite thing about the office (besides the awesome furniture scores) is sitting at her desk and looking into the guest bedroom. The contrasting mint green of the office and the yellow tones of the adjacent room makes the redo extremely satisfying.

Beautiful! And exactly the colour scheme I've been planning for my new bedroom.

If you don't mind, what paint colour is this? Thanks!

Ooh, who makes the fabric for the curtains? I think it would work perfectly in my kitchen...

Thanks!

Looks great! I'd also like to know the designer of the curtain fabric, if anyone knows? Thinking it'd look good in my kitchen too..

The fabric is from Urban Outfitters. I think they still make it. :)
