I'm thinking, where does one find a decent new sectional couch for $1500-2500 in tan or green to match the CB havana set we've already got?
We tried CB (no shapes that fit), the helms district and the Western furniture district.
Is it like cars? all generic under a certain price point?
Thoughts? My girl and I don't really like modern, but we do like clean and classy...

Quick thing: I have been reading your site secretly for a while now and I love AP.
Also: I have a gorgeous Steel frame full head and foot board bed to sell. It is just gaawwguss but I moving to Indiana ::eye roll:: So I must get rid of it. Would you 1)know where I can post it or 2) want it yourselves?
Let me know...I can send pics.

Chrys,
Go to www.roomandboard.com. My friend has purchased a sectional there and he loves it. The price point you mentioned is about the range there.

Enrique, did you see the June/July issue of Traditional Home? The cover reminded me immediately of your terrace. Very Moroccan.

Hi anne. No, I haven't but thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check it out! (Traditional Home isn't on my browsing list when I hit the newstand; So I appreciate the heads up.)
Switching gears here, did anybody else see Tuesday's Today show segment on "Granny Style" in home decorating trends? Lots of needlepoint pillows, colored-glass chandeliers, Tord Boontje laser-cut "lace", candlesticks, etc. I was on a treadmill with the iPod on; so I couldn't hear the commentary, but can only imagine that it was hilarious. There were a couple of video bytes from Jonathan Adler, too. I did notice a really cool pillow that had a needlepoint grafitti/tagging graphic. Anybody know who makes this?
Thanks jon. I'm not referring to JA's 7 Sins pillow. The pillow I'm talking about was shown during one of the opening shots of the segment. And it looked like spray-painted, multi-color graffiti tag.

i seem to recall a girl that did needlepoint graffiti pillows- i think her name was Heather Dunbar- but I don't know if she has a site or anything- I remember there was something about it on Designsponge awhile back...oh well, let us know if you ever end up finding out...
Enrique, I never paid much attention to Traditional Home before. But my mother keeps getting me a subscription to it every Christmas. As it turns out it's not that "traditional". There are a lot of nice interiors in it that you would think to be in more contemporary mags. Granted, they still have some pretty fussy projects but I have saved a few of the issues for the transitional to comtemporary features.

chrys, did you try the sofa company in culver city? you can construct modify designs or bring in a picture which they'll copy and bring your own fabric. not too pricey & they work pretty fast.

Andree/jon: Thanks! The pillows I saw look to be Heather Dunbar's.
anne: Checked out Trad Home at the newstand during my lunch break. Very nice! All of the outdoor pieces featured in that article were quite cool. Makes me want to toss out all the Indian Sari fabric pillows and replace with Moroccan textiles and kilims!
My bad these are not pillows...but I have seen her work before on a pillow in Domino mag a couple months ago.
In any event they are pretty funny!

Yes indeed Heather, if you do return to the site, I just purchased one of your pillows and it is the pride of my abode -- so subversive, such cheek, so expensive...love it. Cheers.

I was wondering if Heather has ever made her graffiti pillows into "kits" I like to needlepoint but find it hard to find fun contemporary designs or kits! If you do, please let me know if you do.
