Usually I put decorations up right after Thanksgiving but this year we haven't had the chance to get our Christmas tree so hopefully sometime next week we'll go to a you cut tree place and then decorate.

Does anyone know of a good place to buy a real wreath (i.e. not a Target wreath) in Los Angeles? I want something simple, inexpensive, and not ginormous.

Sparkle, check out your local Armstrong garden center. I went and bought a 16" evergreen wreath for $15.99. It's very simple and of course, smells great.

I finally asked my landlady if I could take out my ugly grey carpet to expose the wood floor underneath. Well, taking out the rug was easy and the pre-war floors are beautyful, except for the crappy contractor who didn't bother to cover the wood floor when he was painting. I was trying to take off the paint (but not the stain) w/ enviro paint strippers, but that sure isn't working!
