Does anyone have the assembly instructions for the Ikea ALG mirrors? They're not on Ikea's site, and I think I can figure out how to fasten them to the wall, but I'd hate to be wrong and have 4 mirrors fall off simultaneously...

I'm getting ready to do some chalkboard painting in a home office, but don't want to use black or grey. I'm wondering if anyone has used off-white with dark chalk colors, instead of dark paint with white chalk?

We just moved to a rental with very high ceilings. I need ideas for artwork, etc to fill a huge, high wall in the family room. It needs to be relatively inexpensive because I'm doubting our next place will have this high of ceilings! On one side of the room I'll do some sort of shelving.

thank you!

Gdiamonds, your question is pretty vague. What room is it in? what kind of space do you need? do you own? rent? have pics? etc etc.

you may have well asked, "I have to go somewhere tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear."

i have been desperate for an upholstered headboard but i just haven't been able to find one that i like. well, tonight i was at a fabric store and found the perfect fabric. i bought 2 yards, enough for a headboard. but now i have zero money for the supplies needed to make the actual headboard. my boyfriend has many different size canvases around our apartment. is there any way to make a headboard out of a canvas or two? thanks!

DanaD - I am actually selling my old upholstered queen headboard. I was going to have it reupholstered before I sold it because it has a stain on it from where it was leaning up against a box of candle wax when it was in storage. It is otherwise in great shape and the perfect jumping off point for an easy reupholstery project. It measures 60" wide, 46" tall, 3" thick. I threw up a quick Craigslist post so you can contact me if you are interested:

Yours for $75 since you are AT.

Oh, and if you are interested in getting it professionally reupholstered, I have a guy who was going to do the job for me for $125-$150. He has done work for me in the past and does a very nice job. I can give you the contact info if you are interested.

Sorry, that was pretty VAGUE. That corner area is between a living room and dinning room. It's just a huge corner space. I own.

I hope this is an appropriate place to ask for relocation info. My partner and I considering relocating from NYC to LA, and are looking for useful information ie: something other than bloggers debating which is "better". Any suggestions on recourses, or even personal accounts would be much appreciated! Thanks.

kimg924, I haven't tried it, but Rustoleum makes a white (tintable) chalkboard paint. It's on their site here. There's also Dry Erase Board Paint.
