Although we have a calendar on the computer and on our phone (which we enter events into when we're out and about), for us nothing can replace a nice big calendar we can write on. Working from home we can lose sight of the big picture so it helps us to see the whole month at a glance: where we might be overloading ourselves or where we might be able to fit in some of our resolutions (like having people over more often). It's also a great place to jot down ideas, a note to self or an important phone number. A couple more tools to help you stay on top of what's important, right here:

Considering how many times we've had to pay double the original parking ticket fee because the ticket got lost in a stack of papers, (it's too many to count and so embarrassing, we're normally so organized) we could totally use these simple cues for paying, filing, reviewing and of course, those things that become urgent.
We try to prioritize our to-do lists in order of importance and urgency but sometimes when papers start overtaking our workspace we throw the whole thing out the window. Some nice simple visual reminders of our first, second, third and fourth priorities could make it easier to stay on task and not sidetracked.

i need that calendar! i've been wanting something large and with lines so we can write in stuff... but i always just find blank calendars no lines- and my handwriting tends to get messy and ugly without them. simple but perfect!

This post also reminds me of how I keep my email organized (especially with online bills getting lost). Getting Things Done Inbox Gmail Firefox work wonders for your lost emails and to-do lists.

Office supply stores have desk blotter calendars every year. Might be around $15 or so, I don't use them any more, so I haven't paid attention. But they have both ruled and unruled kinds -- Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, et al.

I used to keep things on a Real Simple calendar I picked up at Target that came with color coded stickers. This year I found Gmail's calendar and I am in love. I can put in work meetings and events for home. Before I'd have 2 different calendars and could never keep things together. So seriously people, get a gmail account and use that calendar. So helpful.

Re the big calendar, just download from microsoft.com - or if you're not a fan - do a search on 'free calendar templates" and download, pimp and print on A3!
What i would like to see is a calendar that I can upload to one of those digital picture frames! I can update when online and have it hanging around (quite literally) when I'm offline...

EvalnNL,
Wouldn't just getting a screen shot of it (or turning it into a jpg) do it? Just a guess since I don't have a digital frame.
