Adjustable Hangers for an Organized Closet

atla-060508-hangers01.jpgOne of the things that can make the difference between an organized closet and a disorganized one is uniform hangers. The challenge is when your clothes are not as uniform as your hangers.

That's where these hangers are unique. Flexible and adjustable, they bend and curve to fit your coats, shirts and sweaters. We'd find them especially useful in our front coat closet, where they'll mold to fit the various sizes, types and weights of outerwear worn by the friends and family who come and visit us.

Cool. I wish they didn't come in a variety pack of colors though.

Just break down and get the Joy Mangano Hugable hangers. I bought them years ago when they just came in black and I haven't had to bend another hanger or worry about anything slipping off or items not fitting. If you don't like Joy, they have a version at Target and maybe it is Joy, and at Bed Bath & Beyond. You will not be sorry. Buy once and buy well.

Yuck. I'm an all wooden hanger girl. I made the switch a few years ago and have loved opening my closet and seeing the organization since! Plus, I'm a plus-sized girl too... so I'm sensitive to the slippage some hangers cause, but some of my wooden hangers have little notches that the straps go into... so problem solved!

These remind me of those bendable hair curlers I used to use as a kid...

Great idea, but who actually puts a tank top on a hanger?

Ahem... *I* hang my tanks and camis. I don't have room for a dresser and rather than eat up one of my husband's dresser drawers, most everything goes on hangers. My clothes have fewer wrinkles (if any) or fold lines as a result. Socks and delicates are stored in linen lined baskets on shelves in the closet.

Anyhoo... like Emily, I use wooden hangers. Target has some great Michael Graves hangers that have notches and grips to keep things from slipping off. They also sell matching pant and skirt hangers.
