Clutter Challenged

Stuck in too much stuff? I've heard that clutter can't be organized only gotten rid of. I've also found that the more I try to reduce the things in my world the more seem to appear. Even when I tried the whole one new thing in, one old thing out rule it seemed the stuff coming in still won. This is why I am loving the 100 Thing Challenge. A Guy Named Dave is reducing his personal possessions to 100 items and blogging his progress. There are caveats, there are challenges, there is humor. Get inspired to start tossing and read more here.

Hey, I just stumbled onto his blog this morning! I'm very interested in the idea of 'living small' and reducing clutter/possessions is the most obvious place to start. I'm eager to see how his experiment turns out and what stays on his list.

So he'll chuck his iPod, but keep all his tube socks?

He is only counting his personal belongings. I am sure he is putting things like the tv, towels and the like as his wife's posessions. Or how he list the clock radio as belonging to the house.

I am sure this experiment would be a lot easier if I could push the ownership of my "essentials" onto my spouse.
