It's almost become a tradition in my morning rush that I forget something. Usually my celphone, or keys, or the bill I was supposed to send out, etc... Now, I do have a "landing strip." However, the location of it is actually quite a ways from the actual door I go out from. It's not uncommon for me to walk right past it in my flurry to leave the house on time. The Doorganizer hopes to provide a solution for people like me. Reminiscent of those "Do not disturb" signs in hotels, it's made from a heavyweight canvas-like fabric, hangs on the door, and has pockets and a strip able to hold mail or a newspaper on the back. (Just remember to keep it on the inside of the door!)

In past apartments, I have always kept a basket hanging from my doorknob that has a flat back...for this purpose. It is handy to throw keys in as soon as I come in the door, which stopped my habit of dropping them at random...and the mad search for them later. And it holds bulkier items than this product would allow. But the Doorganizer definitely is more colorful.
I really like this! Useful and cool at the same time. My landing strip is still a work in progress, but I have found this solution to finding my purse and keys in the morning -- I bought a simple s-shaped towel hook from Wal-Mart (high end shopping, that's me!). It's chrome and has a knob at each end to keep whatever you're hanging from slipping off. I put it over the rail in my entry closet, and just hang my purse and keys on it when I come in at night. No more morning scrambles!
