Elfa Easy Gliders

030607easyglider.jpgIf you don't have a pedestal sink, chances are you have a cabinet underneath. For many of us, it's a dark scary place where cleaning supplies, extra shampoo bottles, and other random things are piled in and are never seen again... Elfa, the company known for their closet organizing systems, has a simple solution to help transform that area into an easy-to-reach, organized environment. Their "Easy Glider" metal pull-out drawer system comes in several widths and are easily installed.

Elfa is available at The Container Store, and prices range from $25- $35 dollars. We've seen similar systems also available at Home Depot and Target. Does anyone have any other organizing tips for under the sink cabinets? Please share in the comments!

I have the under cabinet gliders from Simplehuman and love them. They felt more sturdy to me and haven't aged a bit since I got them a year ago. I'm also a big fan of having things in the rubbermaid boxes from Target, you know the ones that go on sale for a doller all the time.

Speaking of scary in there - those of you w/ rodent issues (been there!), make sure to stuff steel wool in between all the little holes where the pipes come through to prevent the little buggers from getting inside.

I missed having drawers in the under-sink cabinets. So I hung on cup hooks a long metal-mesh cutlery organizer (single compartment) on the inside of each door. Great for storing toothpaste, combs and hairbrushes.
