apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Erica's Organized Zones

We can safely say that Apartment Therapy readers love easy and affordable organizing solutions. So it's no surprise that we're always on the lookout for more great ideas to bring to the mix. Erica seems to have a knack for creating efficient zones and we think you'll agree.

An organized entryway complete with a spot for keys, wallets, sunglasses and spare change is sure to make anyone's life run smoother. Moving into the bathroom, labeled bags for dirty clothes make doing the laundry a no-brainer. And finally, Erica's utility room has a home for everything, from the kitty litter to the detergent (in labeled containers, of course). A shelf riser allows for extra storage space to stow occasionally used dishes. We also admire the litter box zone for its handy plastic bags and a spot for the litter scooper--making the litter box a breeze to keep clean.

How neat — literally! The entry looks smashing, and that utility room looks like it works so well that doing chores in there isn't a drag. And I especially love the orange-and-white print in the entryway. Any info on it?

Where did you find that great table for the entryway? I've been looking for something and this could be it.

The table is from IKEA. I just bought the same one a few months ago. It was less than $200 and is really nice!

Thanks everyone! These pictures are actually a combination of my last apartment and my current house.

The table is from Ikea.
The orange print is from Elum Designs.
The key holder I made. I used an old piece of wood that I covered with patterned paper using Modge Podge. Then I drilled on the metal key hooks that I bought at a antique shop.

I love the color of the walls. Do you remember what it's called? I'm about to paint my living room and I think it would be perfect. Thanks so much

P.S. I mean the walls in the first picture, where your beautiful silver-framed orange print and sweet wedding (?) photo hang.

Thanks again...
